The original "Mad Max" film cost $300,000AUD to produce, and earned $100 Million world wide. This earned it the record in Guinness Book of Records as the highest profit-to-cost ratio of a motion picture, and only lost this record in 2000 to "The Blair Witch Project".

Fact: Weekend at Bernie's
The stunt double for Bernie in the movie "Weekend at Bernie's" suffered a few broken ribs while filming the movie, due to all the pitfalls and stunts of playing a dead man; most notably in the scene involving Bernie being dragged around the surface of the lake, bumping into metal floating obstacles.

Fact: Rocky
Sylvester Stallone wrote the script for Rocky and sold it for a very low price, on the condition that he star in the movie and receive a share of the profits. Rocky went on to win three Oscars, including best picture. It made Stallone's movie career.
